WHAT IS HIS NAME: Joshua Daniel Van Noy
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED:
5 1/2 years...it will be 6 in August!!
HOW LONG DID YOU DATE: We started dating when I turned 16...we were together before that...but tried hard to follow the rules...didn't work out too well;) We dated ever since then...with a 2 year break for Josh's mission...then a month after he returned and then engaged for 6 months. We have known each other for 10 years!
WHO SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST: Josh did. If I recall we were standing outside on his street and we hugged and he said "Laura, I love you"...I was like.."oh thanks" It took me quite a bit longer(remember I was only 16) before I said it back, even waiting it was so hard for me to say at first...then after I warmed up I couldn't stop saying it! ha! Weird...we were so young...but totally in love and it has lasted!
WHO IS TALLER: Josh is...there is no way I would ever date...let alone marry and guy shorter than me...just not good for me to feel even more huge than I already am.
WHO SINGS BETTER: I would say Josh because I hate my voice...but neither of us are horrible but we also aren't amazing...just very average. Funny how we both sang lead roles in a play...sorry to everyone who saw that!:)
WHO'S SMARTER: I am a lot more book, test, school,memorizing smart....but Josh is smarter in all the other ways...he can take a few wires and some tape and random things and make a TV out of it?!?!?!?! My mind does not work that way at all!!
WHO PAYS THE BILLS: I do. Josh has no clue...no clue at all what bills we have. I pay almost all of them online. I love the internet..my bills would never be on time if I couldn't pay online.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED: If I am lying in bed I sleep on the right....if I am standing looking at the bed...then I sleep on my left.
See how that works...so I am not quite sure which side everyone else sleeps on, are we going by laying or standing looking? It has changed every time we have moved. Which side will it be next?!?!?!
WHO MOWS THE LAWN: Josh does. He really likes to. I enjoy mowing the lawn...but Josh is also very particular and wants perfect lines and all that mumbo jumbo and I guess I just don't measure up.
WHO COOKS DINNER: Let's just say that Josh would starve to death if he did not have me to cook for him. There have been times when I have gone away for a week and I come back and Josh has lost 10 pounds. hhhmmm....maybe I should try that. Josh, when he is feeling chipper in the morning, will sometimes get out the griddle and make a great breakfast...but that usually means we have guests....oh and he does rock the BBQ grill.

WHO DRIVES: I drive when I am alone.--hahahaha-dork. Most of the time Josh drives but sometimes I really am in the mood too or I know exactly where I want to go and I don't want Josh messing it up--so then I drive.
WHO'S MORE STUBBORN: It just totally depends on what the issue is. We both will not back down if we believe in our cause. Most of the time though I submit to Josh....unless I REALLY need my way! Look at "Little Laura" I love my little dress!
WHO KISSED WHO FIRST:
We tried so hard to wait until I was 16...exactly 1 month before we caved to temptation...our lips were so close that we no longer could resist the magnetic forces...gosh..so young once again. Josh kissed me first after his mission...and I cried!! How is that for sappy! I just missed him so much while he was gone!
WHO ASKED OUT WHO FIRST: We just started hanging out together...he gave me rides to our play rehearsal and home and then we would just be in the same place. We couldn't "officially date" yet. High School is totally different circumstances when compared to those dating in college and beyond.
WHO PROPOSED: Josh did...see Feb. 13th blog post. I have a cute picture from that night...but I have yet to scan it into my computer...darn it.
WHO HAS MORE SIBLINGS: Josh's family has 3 boys, 3 girls...Josh is the baby. My family has 2 boys, 2 girls...I am the 2nd child.
WHO WEARS THE PANTS: We both are united and equal. We make decisions together. Sometimes one person feels more strongly in one area and sometime the other does...in the those cases we compromise and talk it through.
Josh, I don't want to be anywhere else in than world than here with you! You are my best friend. Thank you for all you do for me and Carter!! We love you sooo much!!
I have realized I don't really have any pictures of Josh all alone or Josh and me. We didn't get our digital camera until Carter was born and it is clear that we really don't take pictures unless Carter is in them!! I guess I need to work on that a little bit!!

That is so sweet. I love hearing about when High School sweethearts end up together. You two were made for eachother, obviously!
Laura- I'm totally with you on everything you said about the books! Some I liked more than others, but most of them I enjoyed. I am excited for the movies- I'm not as critical as some other are. And yes I think Edward is a pretty high standard... and like you said many are in love with that actor- oh well!! Its still exciting!
LAURITA...I LOVE YOU!!! I thought you made a mistake when I saw Nick's picture at the BBQ!! :) You are so much fun, I bet you and Josh LAUGH EVERYDAY ALL DAY!!
