'cept mine did not have real diamonds...but I guess the gold was kinda real...however that works...I am not an expert. He got the ring in Trinidad when he went to serve the last month of his mission there with his parents. It was only 75.00 but I was perfectly content and happy with it. Until one of the diamonds fell out and my fingers grew to plump sausages when I got pregnant and it hasn't fit since.
Since then I have been wearing fakes. Like the 9.99 costume jewelry on the swivel racks. Some people can't tell and I gets lots of comments which immediately makes me feel like an impostor and I have to divulge that it is fake just in case they know it is fake but feel sorry for me because I think it is real.
Then last Christmas we were at a mall in Memphis and I lost Josh. I searched for him and when I spotted him in the jewelry store my heart fluttered. When he came out I questioned his intentions and he told me I deserve a real diamond. Now, I do not need a diamond to feel good about myself or feel like my husband really does love me...but it did make me swoon a little and I love that Josh can still make me feel like that 7 years later:)
So...after that very long explanation I just may get to the purpose of the post. It was to tell you that lately a ring on the commercials has caught my eye and I thought "this just might be the one!" Here it is...
It is the Everlon Knot Ring in 14 K White Gold...this one is 1/4ct. and only 599.99 which is cheap as far as wedding rings go. You can get higher carats but I have no clue what size I prefer until I get some on my finger. No too big but no too small either. I wouldn't go smaller than this.
Here are some other versions....
holy heck that just took me like 30 minutes to get those pictures on here...don't know if it is worth the effort...ha!
Anyhow...this is a really premature post because I have not seen the rings in person and my taste could totally change once I put it on. Also...I am wondering if in the future I might think this is ugly...so that is scary.
Anyhow...what do you think? If you think it is puke worthy do not be afraid to tell me...I want to know! If you do like it, which version do you like best?? Tell me the number of the ring...with #1 being the first knot I showed you. Thanks for indulging me!

oh my gosh I so need to call you!
and I love it! Especially the first one...
Laura, I just saw the commercials for these like a day or so ago and I told Shane that I thought it was really cool! Honestly!!! I really like the style. I vote either the first one or the 3rd one with the added diamonds...gorgeous. Wow, I'm excited for you. Josh is right, you do deserve some real diamonds. And I don't care who you are, any girl can't help but to love them and feel special wearing one!
I really love that ring! I love the first one and then the last one with all of the diamonds on it. It is simple and so pretty!! And just so you know my ring isn't real either. You aren't the only one. And Jeff would not love me telling the world that either.. so anyone who reads this just pretend you never read it :)
I saw those rings on a commercial yesterday and liked them a lot! I like the last one of the one with three together-- but I like sparkly and I know not every girl is like that! Very very cute! I can't wait to hear what you decide!
I like #1 the best but I don't like any kind of small added diamonds. I would say though to go bigger on the carrot. I got a .5 carrot and at the time I thought it was huge because I had never had a diamond on my finger before. Now I wish I would have gone with the 1 carrot. And don't worry about hating your ring later, you won't. I still love mine. And the story behind the ring will make you love it more!
Your rings are knotty. Does it symbolize the beautiful music you make? :)
The first is my favorite. I did some digging online to show you what I would like for me. Brett and I opted for a less expensive ring, too. Plus, when we got engaged I hadn't even concidered that I might get married so soon and hadn't thought of what I would like at all. So here are some links to some I really like. http://www.morganjewelers.com/jewelry/2691/two-hearts-diamond-engagement-ring/

I love several different versions of that type. Someday. But that's awesome that Josh decided it's your time! So exciting, I can't wait to see it.
The 1st one is my fav, just the one diamond, but I am kind of a simpler is better type of person.
I can't decide which one I like best. I think I agree with those who say simpler is better, especially if the solitaire is a really good diamond. But I do also kind of like no. 4.
The first one and the last one are both really pretty.
We sort of did the same thing, only Levi bought a real ring (set) without me and it wasn't exactly what I would have picked myself. It was pretty but not quite me but we were so very young (19 & 20)and couldn't afford much. I have always worn the wedding band but stopped wearing the engagement ring shortly after we were married. 2 years into our marriage he got me a very cheap version of the kind of ring I really wanted (a sapphire setting) and I've worn that one ever since. I know exactly what I want if I ever get the chance, but something more important always comes up....someday maybe :-)
Haha that is soo funny. My sister and I were looking at black friday adds and that ring caught my eye. I love it.. They have that ring at fred meyer and it goes on sale often for like 399 :) just an fyi.. but it is gettin more popular and the price is climbing.. anyways great choice. I really think there is nothing wrong with fake diamonds anyways..
I love the last one. I love vintage looking rings and the last one looks the most vintage. But don't ask anyone their opinions....go with your heart and pick which one YOU love!
That must be a really popular ring--I pointed it out to my mom the other day when the commercial came on and told her how pretty it was. The first one is my favorite!
That was such a wonderful story. I would have picked the honeymoon too. Time together is priceless. I could care less if a diamond on my finger is real. I love you, you are the coolest for going so long without one. I would have to say #2 is my favorite...not too much bling bling, just a dash of sparkle.
Oh, I forgot to add, get the diamond HUGE. haha, you'll never regret it. I'm inheriting my grandma's 1 ct when she's gone, as I've been told a million times, so I'll have that set in what I want later.
Call Shy. She can help you.
i love it! i think the last two are my favorite. the last one would be the winner for me if it was gold instead of silver...
i love all those rings! I seriously love them!! the only problem might be that 5,000 other women have the same ring, just because it is a new and styli ring. BUT that only makes a difference if you care. It is such a gorgeous style though!!
OH I remember that special Valentine's day 7 years ago...oh the memories! You two were made for eachother. so perfect. so in love. still are. it's beautiful!
THE RING IS GORGOUS!!! I like the first one if you want to go simple, and the last one if you want to light up any room you walk in (not that you already do...)I'm talking "literally" though. :)
I love the design so you can't go wrong either way!! I'm excited for you and am looking forward to seeing which one lands on the finger!! LOVE YOU LAURITA!!
I really like the first one. It's so pretty and unusual.
Laura I finally got a day off and I am reading your blog. HORRAY!!! I really like the 1st one. It is simple and that is what I would go with. Let me know what you decide- I am excited for you- that's fun!!! I love your reindeer with lights also. very festive!!!!
I love the first one, with all its lovely simplicity. It's so beautiful and perfect! The last one appeals to the "Ooooooh, its so big and shiny!" voice in my head.
How exciting! When you finally have it picked out and on your finger one day, you better post lots of photos so I can see it!!
P.S. ~ I miss you, Lady! I regret not getting to hang out with you more when I had the chance. :( Perhaps one day we shall live next door to one another, so I can bug the crap outta ya every day!
