Get a Load of This!

So the Pioneer Woman has awakened the domestic goddess in me today...well at least the cooking part.

I am being bold and attempting to make 3...count 'em THREE recipes from her site today. I haven't eaten yet today so I almost had decided to make all of them...but narrowed it down to just the few.

I have the recipes all printed up (which print out really cute...perfect for sticking in a binder if they turn out as delicious as they sound) I am attempting the Black Bean Chowder with Yogurt-Cilantro Relish, Crispy Yogurt Chicken, and Fig's Cheese Muffins....yes a lot of dairy...that might be because I picked all the recipes out of the "Dairy Contest" winners.

I love Pioneer Woman...I want to be just like her. ;)

I'll let you know how these turn out...BUT I challenge all of my readers to go to her site and pick a recipe and MAKE IT! Then tell us all how it turns out. It is actually fun to look through and realize there are a bazillion choices for dinner...when I had thought there were only 2 things I could possibly make. Do you take the challenge? Tell me which recipe you are attempting...I know some of you already have...so leave a comments and tell me about it!

Laura: These look scrumptious. Shelby makes her recipes quite often. I made the crash potatoes which are really good. Wish I had some right now.

Wow, those fig's cheese muffins look sooo yummy. I want to have energy to bake. Right now I am still recovering from the onslaught of information this weekend. And the onslaught of management I have to catch up on as well. Oh well, life is good and in reference to your previous blog...will you please just read the book I suggested ALREADY!!! Grr.....;)

Mmmm...she does have some great recipes. I'm excited to see her cookbook when it comes out.

I've made the Best Chocolate Sheet Cake Ever, (and it really was!), the Apple Dumplings (also good), and the Ritz crackers with peanut butter and marshmallows, (also pretty good for a snack.) The ones you're making sound good too.

I LOVE her carrot cake. And since it has carrots in it, I usualy eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That's why I don't bake it very often. :)

The apple dumplings are to die for and so simple I love them. They make a lot though so make sure you have people over to enjoy them too or you will find yourself eating all of them.
