I Heart Faces: Halloween Dress-up

I Heart Faces Photo Blog

I saw on my photographer friend Shelby's blog...remember her at FizzieLime? She is pretty much awesome.

I don't call myself a "photographer" because that would imply I know what I am doing...but I do love to take pictures and see what kind of creations and memories I get out of a single press of the button. I thought it would be fun to try some of the challenges on I heart Faces....just to see if I can learn anything or get a little better. I really do need Photoshop, I think, if I am really going to compete at all with the pros...and maybe a nice camera...but for now I am content with my cheapo schmepo...so the challenge goes like this....

Take a picture of yourself (ME)...I have to be holding the camera and cannot use anything to support the camera like a tripod, table, etc.

I did this really fast...took like 10 shots and then just picked one...they were all very underwhelming and I don't really want to share...but to enter I have to post it here...so now you all get to look...and then my family all voted this one (even though I really don't like it) so you have seen it already...so how anti-climatic was that???


And then we are supposed to take one with a child in the picture with us...again holding the camera....there are some really awesome and really creative shots from different people on the site...I did not have the time to try stuff like that...and not like Carter would cooperate even if I did have the time...so we did a quick shot and off he went...so his eyes are almost closed...but I still like it alright.


And this is the one I really wanted to post because this really is the essence of me. Quirky and reptilian like ;)
